Restoration Hardware’s New Store

Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting the new Restoration Hardware  store at Scottsdale Quarter. The store was built from the ground up in the past year on the location where Oakville Grocery built their store a few years ago. When that shopping center was being built, Arizona was at the height of the economic recession. I was surprised to see the project starting and relieved at the same time because it gave me hope for the future. Turquoise and Teal

Using turquoise with white and black in a space will give the room a retro look of the 1950s or 1960s. Mixing lavenders and pinks with turquoise in a space will make it more feminine. The combination of apple green and turquoise is a youthful combination.  Turquoise is often associated as a color of the Southwest and pairs well with its complementary color red-orange and terra cottas.

Eat Drink and Be Merry

Beginning with Halloween in October and until the new year in January there are so many occasions to gather with friends and family to eat, drink and be merry.
I have created an old world dining room hosted by Caravaggio’s Bacchus, the God of wine and intoxication. The design board was created on Olioboard. The furnishings are from My Two Designers and the wallpaper is from Schumacher.
